Music, Sounds, Fonts!

20 February 2009
Today I am going to share a few resources that I have found useful to me during my time. Those who know me in the real world will have acquired a large grievance with my use of the tool that I am about to share with you.

Introducing Dr. Petter's SFXR.

This tool has been immense help to me especially when entering 48 hour game programming contests. Quick and effective 'retro' sound effects!

What about Music?
Now even though I can compose my own music in FL Studio, it is sometimes easier to use open-licenced professional music files.

What about fonts?
If you're struggling to create a logo for your games or products, an easy way to do so would be to download a selective few fonts and fiddle around in image editting software for a while. It will save you paying for a designer!

If you are a designer and you are looking for work, you could try 99designs.com, the clients there pay up before they launch a 'contest' so you will be paid. http://www.1001freefonts.com/
